It’s not lost on me that the camouflage of a moth or butterfly serves a powerful purpose—helping it stay hidden from danger. In our own lives, there are times when we’re hidden, an d times when we choose to hide. The reminder that I am held and sheltered in God’s hands during seasons of deep trial brings a steady comfort and peace. I’m often brought back to the truth in this old hymn: “In the calm of the noontide, in sorrow’s lone hour,In times when temptation casts o’er me its power;In the tempests of life, on its wide, heaving sea,Thou blest ‘Rock of Ages,’ I’m hiding in Thee.” Show more
