Hidden Valley is inspired by forest walks through the Dandenong Ranges. With the warm glow of Autumn the landscape comes to life, gathered like a colourful choir singing to Autumn' s splendour. I've always had a love of nature; the depth and richness of the colours, the complexity of the sky, the churning foam of the ocean on stormy days and the sunlight playing through tall grasses as they bend and wave. My hope is that this painting brings a sense of calm to the room where it lives, and that is makes the people who enter the room feel as though a part of nature is right there with them. Layered acrylics on a texture base on stretched cotton canvas. Blackened edges and ready to hang.
