All you need is a pair of soles, a needle, 5 meters of thread and some canvas. One of the great things about making espadrilles is that even if you are not very experienced, if you make a mistake, you can unstitch and start over as many times as you want. This is not the case when making other types of shoes due to the common use of glue, a messy process where you only get one chance to get it right.
