This is the freshman effort from Akron, Ohio’s Houseguest. Houseguest formed over four years ago when five “friends” decided they needed one more thing to fight about.Houseguest is a five piece indie rock group with influences ranging from Guided by Voices to Huey Lewis. The band has been playing around the mid-west for the past few years and finally got their shit together. Houseguest is Ted Mallison (vocals), Dave Whited and Dave Rich (guitars), Gabe Schray (bass), and Steve Clements (drums).High Strangeness was recorded in Patrick Carney’s (Black Keys, Audio Eagle.) basement in the spring of 2006.1.
