The word “hildring” in norwegian is is an old and poetic term, and it means some sort of illusion or optical deception in nature. It's often used in fairy tales and poetry to describe a phenomenon where you see something that isn’t really there, often on hot surfaces or in mountain areas. Something dreamlike and fleeting. Something that appears real but is actually fleeting, unreal, or hard to reach. HILDRING is an original abstract landscape painting where a hazy blue sky opens over warm sand and amber mist, with soft aqua water below — dreamlike and fleeting, like the mirage it's named after. Painted in textured acrylics on 75x101 cm canvas, part of the Grounded collection. Shipped worldwide from my Oslo studio. 75x101 cm Production year 2025. Acrylics on linen/polyester blend canvas. The artwork is signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
