5x7 Acrylic on Canvas Panel Hilton Head, a sought after spot to steal away, hugs the glorious coast of the Lowcountry. Its beaches often display cotton candy skies like the one in this study. I remember my first time riding through Hilton Head in the back seat of my uncle's car as a young teen. I had never witnessed a place so beautifully curated. Everything felt lovely and thoughtfully designed, as a young artist in bloom it impacted me greatly. The breathtaking coastal view was the icing on the cake. A special thanks to my young artist friend in bloom herself, Gemma Lane, who captured the inspiration photo for this painting. I love the thick brush strokes that a painting study offers. Often, studies are painted in one short studio setting, capturing the main idea of a landscape or subject. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it.
