The series earned its moniker during the design process when the back view revealed similarities to a hippopotamus, giving birth to the name 'Hippo.' The Hippo Chair, Bar Chair and Hippo Lounge all rest on two sturdy wooden legs, seamlessly connecting the seat and back. The distinctive wooden profile acts as an almost architectural element that starkly contrasts with the rounded, soft back and seat. The Hippo collection comprises a dining chair, bar chair, a lounge chair with a wooden or fully upholstered profile, as well as a sofa.
