Updated on May 29, 2026: This has been sold. Historical Staffordshire copper luster creamer with a black-and-white transfer-printed portrait of Lafayette flanked by Fame and Triump h in Grecian garb holding a laurel wreath above his head. The reverse shows Cornwallis's surrender at Yorktown on Oct 19, 1781. The image is after the painting by Robert Smirke published in 1787. Lafayette was at the surrender, and we earlier offered an engraving from France that depicts Lafayette with Washington at the surrender. Size: 4.25" high Shipping: $15.
