These sashiko sampler cloths from Daruma are a great introduction to sashiko and some of the one stitch (hitomezashi) patterns. The lines are worked horizontally, vertically and sometimes diagonally to create the intricate patterns. The samplers come as a pre-printed cloth which is doubled up to create a neat cloth with finished edges. After stitching the printed lines will disappear with a gentle wash. The finished cloth size is approx 34cm square. English instructions included. Most of these designs take 50 to 100m of thread. We recommend our Daruma Fine thread on cards ( you will need 2 cards for most designs) or one 100m - 170m skein.
