Choose the best tactics to place the right piece wisely and be the first to block the Queen Bee in the Hive. Hive enhances each player’s skills of strategic planning, tactical thinking and spatial vision. This is an awesome game, like chess but more approachable. We definitely recommend Hive, all our kids love this game and adults too that love a bit of strategy chess style movement. Outwit your opponent, watch what pieces they have left so you have the appropriate piece to challenge them later. Don't let your bee get trapped! High quality acrylic tiles, we prefer the full size edition, but you can also get this in a pocket smaller tile variety. Actually after writing this review, I might grab one of the kids now to challenge them to a game of Hive! For us we rate this game a high 8/10, because we think it challenges the strategic and classical chess to a more approachable and younger audience, and to do that, yet be thoroughly enjoyable by highly strategic minds and be successful is no easy feat.
