Distilled in 1994 - only 277 bottles produced from this cask Auchroisk distillery was set up to feed the blending industry in Scotland with single malt bottlings only available thr ough Independent Bottlers. The name is difficult to pronounce but becomes great fun when you've had a few drams... but lets not dwell on that and get back to this bottling. Matured in a refill HHD (hogshead) for 21 years it has been finished in a wine cask to give it extra personality. The nose has caramel and spices and the palate shows citrus fruits and vanilla. A bit of water does bring out floral nature more. Natural colour and at cask strength.
