HMLA-267 Doc Mazzuchelli Memorial Patch Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 267 (HMLA-267) "Stingers" — Doc Mazzuchelli Memorial This memorial patch honors a fallen member of HMLA-267, the "Stingers," commemorating the sacrifice of a Marine who served with the squadron. Memorial patches hold a deeply significant place in military aviation culture, worn by squadron mates to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. These patches serve as permanent reminders of the bond between Marines and the price of the freedoms they defend. HMLA-267, the Stingers, operates the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom from Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, under Marine Aircraft Group 39 and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The squadron's mission of providing offensive air support, utility support, armed escort, and airborne command and control places its Marines in harm's way during every deployment. The inherent dangers of low-level rotary-wing combat operations — from enemy fire to the demanding flying conditions of desert, mountain, and urban environments — mean that the Stingers' legacy is written in both triumph and sacrifice. Memorial patches like the Doc Mazzuchelli patch ensure that those who gave their lives are never forgotten by their squadron family, embodying the Marine Corps' solemn commitment to leaving no Marine behind and honoring every sacrifice. Perfect For: HMLA-267 Stingers veterans, Marine light attack helicopter personnel, memorial patch collectors, Gold Star families, and those honoring fallen Marines. A solemn tribute to a fallen Stinger, ensuring that courage and sacrifice are forever remembered by those who carry on the fight.
