While the key ingredients of a successful HMX switch remain, such as beautifully smooth travel, long pole and top tier materials - a number of differences become apparently very quickly. The Toast has a ridiculously deep sound signature for a HMX switch. The Bad Sweethearts from Rena Labs were game changing for their deep thocky characteristics when paired with a board that leant towards Thock. However these are even deeper. Additionally they have a longer pole and a stronger bottom out which results in louder acoustics. If you found the Bad Sweetheart a little muted or wanted to pair it with a foamy board without losing character, these are the switch for you.
