Blue filters are used to transform the colours of ambient light by adding the blue tone across the entire exposure. It is sometimes used with daylight filter indoors with tungsten lighting. An ideal creative filter for colour photography as well. This filter has a diameter of 52mm, so your lens must also have a diameter of 52mm (unless you have a step-up/step-down ring).
