Hochstadter's Slow & Low Rock and Rye is a throwback to the bygone days when the Rock & Rye - a cocktail of rye, sweetened with rock candy- was served as medicine (medicine for ail ments, medicine for the soul). In this updated version, a backbone of straight rye whiskey is macerated with orange peels before being infused with honey and a hint of horehound.
