The WHT is a hold-down angle bracket that transfers tensile (uplift) loads from timber walls into concrete or steel. This optimised version of the classic Rothoblaas hold-down uses fewer fasteners and revised steel thicknesses for efficient anchorage without losing performance, and the NARROW PATTERN nailing lets it suit timber frame walls with studs as narrow as 60 mm. High tensile capacity for walls under heavy static or seismic loads Five sizes covering timber frame, CLT, LVL, solid timber and glulam walls Wide or narrow nailing patterns, with full or partial fastening for capacity design Fasten with LBA nails, LBS screws or LBS HARDWOOD in a choice of lengths Certified for raised installation with a gap, for example over a concrete kerb Timber-to-timber, timber-to-concrete and timber-to-steel configurations Material: S355 + Fe/Zn12c galvanised carbon steel Service class: SC1, SC2 CE marked to ETA-23/0813 Fasten with LBA nails or LBS screws on timber and M16 to M24 anchors such as VIN-FIX, HYB-FIX or EPO-FIX on concrete, with the matching WHTW washer, all supplied separately Dimensions shown are height by base width by vertical flange thickness Price shown is per bracket.
