Remove carburetor from engine, marking all vacuum line connections and throttle linkage connections. Drain fuel from carburetor. Turn carburetor upside down. Remove threaded restriction with screwdriver located next to upper right throttle plate. Install new restriction plug (provided in kit) with screwdriver. Turn carburetor back over, remove choke cap by removing three screws. Install electric cap making sure that the loop on the thermostatic coil is connected to the arm inside the housing. Line up the index mark on the cap with the center index mark on the choke housing. Hold in position and tighten three choke cap retaining screws. Reinstall carburetor on engine making sure to reconnect all vacuum lines and throttle linkage. Attach lead to clip on choke cap. Attach other end of lead to 12V power supply. Do not attach to ignition coil. It is advisable to connect the lead to a source that only has power when the ignition switch is in the run position and not to a safety related terminal such as the windshield wiper motor, headlights, turn signal, or emergency flashers.
