The Honeywell E3SRMNO2 is a professional-grade remote nitrogen dioxide (NO2) sensor designed for seamless integration with the E3Point standalone gas detection system. Engineered for high-risk environments such as parking garages, loading docks, and maintenance facilities, this remote mounted sensor provides critical monitoring of combustion byproducts. This unit is technically identical to part numbers 1309A0057 and ESRMNO2, ensuring full compatibility with existing Honeywell gas monitoring infrastructures. Utilizing advanced electrochemical sensing technology, it delivers high precision with minimal cross-sensitivity to standard background gases. The E3Point NO2 remote transmits real-time data to the base unit, allowing for efficient multi-zone coverage without the need for additional standalone controllers. Proper calibration and maintenance of this sensor are essential for maintaining life safety protocols and optimizing ventilation control strategies, reducing energy costs by activating fans only when gas concentrations exceed OSHA and NIOSH exposure limits. Key Benefits Enhanced Coverage: Extends the detection perimeter of the E3Point system for comprehensive facility monitoring. Interchangeable Design: Direct replacement for 1309A0057 and ESRMNO2, simplifying inventory and field service. Rugged Enclosure: Built to withstand commercial HVAC environments and varying humidity levels. Optimized Integration: Facilitates demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) to improve energy efficiency in large spaces. Common Questions How do I wire the E3SRMNO2 to the main E3Point controller? The remote sensor follows standard wiring protocols specified for the E3Point series; ensure you use shielded twisted pair to prevent EMI interference with the signal. What is the typical lifespan of the electrochemical cell in this NO2 sensor? Standard field performance typically requires sensor module replacement every two to three years depending on environment exposure and gas concentration levels. Can the E3SRMNO2 be used as a standalone detector? No, this is a remote sensor head designed specifically to communicate with a primary E3Point base unit to provide a secondary point of detection.
