Course Description+ Algebra 2 Honors is an advanced course designed to continue the study of the structure of algebra and geometry to provide the foundation for application of the skills to other mathematical and scientific fields. Topics include, but are not limited to, structure and properties of the complex number system, relations, functions and their graphs, polynomials and rational expressions, quadratic equations and inequalities, functions, rational and irrational exponents, logarithms, and trigonometry.Honors level classes can expect more rigorous requirements for assignments and assessments.Prerequisite: 'A' in Honors GeometryThis 6-week course is offered for first time credit, for credit grade replacement, or for non-credit enrichment in preparation for taking the course in the future. It is the parents’ responsibility to check with their child's school when seeking credit for a course. For online courses, the students’ cameras MUST be turned on at all times, and attendance is mandatory. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording by students during the course. Students must be age appropriate for the course, and all students must adhere to proper online etiquette. For online courses, young children must be supervised by a parent at all times. Requirements for AHS Students; Students must currently be in 9th grade or higher and recommended for Algebra 2 Honors and earned at least an A- for the 1st semester.
