The Hooded Mag Insert is a triple magazine pouch that fits into the rear kangaroo pocket of our chest rigs. It can fit standard AR mags, steel or polymer, and has just enough retention to keep them locked in place even when not using our integrated mag hood that keeps debris, dust, snow, and light rain off of your mags. This is a genius, yet simple-smart design that allows you to turn our kit bag into a combat-ready chest rig within seconds. It is extremely low profile, silent, slick, and inconspicuous - completely concealing your mags and keeping them protected from the elements. It can also be used on a plate carrier, integrating perfectly under a cummerbund for a slim profile, or with other chest rig systems. The pouch is made with water-repellent 500D CORDURA® to protect your mags from the elements.
