Build your child’s spelling, alphabetizing, and research skills with the Horizons 2nd Grade Spelling & Vocabulary Dictionary! Colorfully illustrated, this AOP resource complements the Horizons 2nd Grade Spelling & Vocabulary lessons and activities in the teacher’s guide and student workbook. Students can look up words, develop phonemic awareness through phonetic examples, build alphabetizing skills, enhance vocabulary, and learn research skills. When looking up spelling or vocabulary words, your child will also learn the simple parts of speech and plural forms, as each word entry is identified as a verb, noun, or proper noun and includes the plural or comparative form of the word. This easy-to-follow dictionary also includes blank alphabetized pages which can be used to record working words learned throughout the year in other subjects. The Horizons 2nd Grade Spelling & Vocabulary Teacher’s Guide and Student Workbook are sold separately or as part of the Box Set.
