Our new horizontal rest is designed to provide maximum work area when using your grinder in horizontal orientation. The 2x48" rest is 260x490mm and the 2x72" rest is a massive 260x550mm, both with a large notch that wraps around the platen. Minimal gap between the rest and platen minimises the chance a work piece falling down between the rest and belt - adding an extra safety barrier when grinding. The horizontal work rest is great for shaping blades using the contact wheels and platen, squaring up work pieces, timber work etc. The powder-coated 6mm laser cut steel plate makes for an extremely rigid work platform. Compatible with Shop Mate 48 (not fully guarded versions) and Shop Master 72 belt grinders, simply select size option at checkout. **Not compatible with fully guarded Shop Mate 48 grinders** Some assembly required.
