The Horsehide Strop is cut from Horween Russet horsehide skirting, the lower-back section of the hide, paired with cotton-linen webbing milled in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The ho rsehide gives a tighter, drier draw than the bridle version; the canvas dries the steel and lifts burrs between finish passes. Assembly is modular: solid brass machined Chicago screws hold the swivel clip, the leather, and the webbing in place and come apart so any single piece can be replaced. Offered in 2.5-inch or 3-inch widths in the natural russet finish. Show more
