For all those out there with the same nickname, Hosta 'Big Mama' is an oldie-but-goodie from the famed Long Island garden of the late hosta guru, Paul Aden. The Hosta sieboldiana b ackground shows through with the large, puckered, thick blue leaves that adorn the 40" tall x 5' wide clump. The giant clumps of Hosta 'Big Mama' are topped with pure white flowers in early summer on 4' tall scapes...a hummingbird celebration. As with all blue-leaf hostas, the wax fades in the heat of summer leaving the leaves green. Show more
