[M] The much anticipated sport of 'Empress Wu'! The hosta world has been waiting for Hosta 'Emperor's New Clothes' since photos appeared online a couple years ago. This sport of 'E mpress Wu' emerges nearly white in the spring before becoming clothed in a wild wardrobe of blue-green splashes and speckles. By late summer, the clump is mostly green. The growth rate is strong, but we do not expect the plant to get as large as its parent. Hosta 'Emperor's New Clothes' is on every hosta fanatic's need-to-have list, but the plant has proven difficult to produce reliably.
