We are pleased to finally introduce this long-awaited Hosta yingeri hybrid from hosta guru Roy Herold. Hosta 'Harpoon' was selected as the winner of the "Best in Show Award," the H erb Benedict Award (best variegated leaf hosta), and the Pauline Banyai Award (most distinctive unregistered seedling) at the 1995 AHS Convention Leaf Show. Hosta 'Harpoon' makes a 2' wide clump of narrow, wavy, glossy, green leaves with a 1/2" wide, rippled creamy border that emerges gold. The vigorously growing clumps are topped in midsummer with 40" scapes of dark lavender flowers. Show more
