Hosta 'Jolly Green Dwarf' is a Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a truly unique hosta. We're pretty sure this may be the worlds' first octaploid hosta. In other words, it has two times a many sets of chromosomes as a normally tetraploid Hosta ventricosa. What we have produced is a typical Hosta ventricosa with its dark green leaves, but with an incredible leaf thickness, and an overall plant that is much shorter and compact than the species.
