[S-M] This is an exciting plant with the always popular yellow and red color combination that resulted from a complex mix of hosta species, including longipes, laevigata, pycnophyl la, and yingeri. 'Lipstick Sunset' emerges in the spring blazing yellow, with brilliant, lipstick red petioles. The red carries through the leaf veins, reaching 1/4 of the way up the leaf. The yellow spring color cools to light green by mid summer, but the wavy foliage and red color keep things interesting. Hosta 'Lipstick Sunset' forms a mound about 13" tall and 26" across that blooms in late summer with fertile, lavender flowers on red saturated scapes. Pucker up! You're going to love this one. (D.
