Amaranthus cruentus I love growing Amaranths and had to try out the dusty orange Hot Biscuits variety. They did not disappoint! Tall multibranched stems with varied sizes of flower heads are a wonderful pop of orange color for late Summer and Fall bouquets. Plants reached a manageable size of about 5 feet tall. The birds did forage on the seed but left plenty for harvest. All amaranths prefer full sun and heat. They were slow to start in our cool Spring.
