In this case, they hop in one of seven cockpits of the various aircraft available in Hot Wheels Jetz and save the day. Hot Wheels Jetz allows players to control the various aircraft through different rooms of a three-dimensional virtual house, dodging dressers, refrigerators, and banisters as they pursue the enemy and complete mission objectives. Players must complete ten missions in campaign mode or can simply enjoy the view in free fly mode.During campaign mode, players are briefed on their mission then shown a floor plan of each room featuring enemy targets, then select an aircraft and take off from a child's bedroom floor. Once airborne, it's toy against toy in a timed mission as players blow up dump trucks, missile launchers, tanks and other hostile toys. While in flight, bonus rings are randomly available throughout the house, which offer extra missiles, health, and even bonus aircraft. Completing a mission allows play to progress and will award a bronze, silver, or gold medal based on scoring and time, all of which are automatically saved on a mission debrief page. A failed mission results from being shot down or failing to destroy all targets before time runs out. However, missions can be re-flown at any time.Free Fly mode allows pilots to fly around the house anywhere they choose, allowing them to get a feel for the game. Players can select to fly the Air Fighter, Tank Blaster, Sea Plane, Striker Jet, Heavy Bomber, Transport Gunner, and Flying Saucer, with three bonus aircraft available within certain missions in Campaign mode.
