Hot Wired PC CD work for crime boss job steal theft fast car racing police game Type: Game Platform: Windows Publisher: Xicat Interactive, Ltd. Released: 2004 Media: CD The need for speed takes on new meaning in Hot Wired, where you steal fast cars in ten cities across the United States. You're working for a crime boss who pays top dollar for cars delivered in pristine condition. Each stolen vehicle carries a bounty price that diminishes during the race through collisions and police interference. The amount of cash paid on delivery depends on factors such as original value, damage incurred during the heist and chase, a difficulty modifier, and the black market value. As you race toward the county line or edge of the city, police chase you, setting up rolling roadblocks and pulling you over whenever possible. Success or failure depends on your skill in avoiding collisions, passing traffic, negotiating intersections and mastering the roads at high speed. Heists are timed, so achieving the fastest time can result in a high score bonus. Controls consist of basic acceleration, braking, and steering.Hot Wired features a dozen camera angles, including inside the car, rear view, front view, chase, and track side perspectives. Options include a choice of graphics setting (low, medium, or high), in-game speech, and music. A "border" setting tracks distance to the finish line for each race. Statistics are kept for career track record, attempted and successful steals, success rate, largest heist, average pay per job, current cash, and most wanted list (top three drivers).Only two of the ten tracks, Miami and Los Angeles, are available at the beginning of the game. The other eight cities (New York, Dallas, Portland, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Atlanta) must be unlocked as the game progresses. Additional items, vehicles, and "car thief secrets" become available based on performance. For Windows [*Please review compatibility/platform sections in 'What You Get']
