Named after an ancient Dartmoor woodland that lies in a valley between the moor and the picturesque village of Lustleigh, the Houndtor table is all about showcasing the natural bea uty of timber. The contemporary rustic design has its roots firmly in the simple vernacular furniture hewn from local trees that would have furnished the homesteads of Dartmoor from Medieval times onward. The 'live' or 'waney' edges to the table top are very much a feature of this design. The base is held together by wedged wooden pegs which are visible in the uprights. We love making this table in pippy oak, with a clear or raw oiled finish. Show more
