What if Moms & Family Caregivers Could Earn Minimum Wage Plus Overtime? Contribute to solutions for moms, women, young adults, teenagers and children who have been affected by loss of income leading to some form of displacement. Could moms, teenagers and females earn minimum wage plus overtime, for active time helping their family? What if they could? What if YOU helped make this a reality? What if this was on every ballot in 2026? What if you and I helped to determine who could fund this, who could make it possible? Benefits are in every family. When parents age, and families become affected by all that’s occurring, additional wages are needed to support the family during this time. It’s also true as a mom starts out her journey. When a caregiver stays at home to help someone. That said, there also has to be some balance for moms and caregivers who stay at home. This income addresses gaps that are not filled by anything else, whatsoever. Social security is age-specific or disability specific. What if a mom or teenager or caregiver within the family is genuinely trying to help and is incurring extra costs, to be that much needed, trusted help for someone experiencing some form of health crisis, or something else. It can also be for families who wish to have a mom stay at home to raise young children, or a child who has special needs. It could assist the other individuals in the family, so that person doesn’t have to increase jobs or salaries to cover the family’s financial needs. I have seen husbands or head of household work multiple jobs to support families so one can stay at home and take care of all that’s required to run the family needs. Contribute to a feasibility study. One contribution of $7500 won’t cover all costs to figure this out and work with city, county, social services agencies, and government resources. It could be part of discretionary funds at the city, county and private corporate levels. What if children and teens were paid minimum wage, simply by having ethical options to earn for up to 10 hours per week, or whatever is age-appropriate? This could prevent modern slavery, or at least contribute to solutions of what I’m seeing right now, happen across this country. Modern slavery is expecting someone to work without pay. It needs to stop. I’ve experienced this personally since April 29, 2024. I know of others who are experiencing similar concerns. Advocate. Help. Contribute to solutions.
