Handmade in Kyoto by designer Nobuhiro Sato, these little mortar houses reflect the charming details of everyday life — textural variations in the wood grain, meticulously cast win dow glass and fences, and incense smoke rising from a tiny chimney. Each type has a different window arrangement and base colour, and because they're handmade, no two are exactly alike; small imperfections and colour unevenness from the wood grain and lye are part of the piece's texture, not a flaw.This model pairs well with the Tennen Incense Cone.
