The thread consists of 70% bamboo, which makes the yarn the softest you have ever experienced and gives it a special lightweight feel. It is pleasant on the skin and is therefore also a very child-friendly yarn, which has great dimensional stability. The bamboo’s fibers are naturally silky soft and smooth – which makes the thread incredibly delicate. The texture and silk-like properties give knitted projects a beautiful fall. The 23% cotton and 7% acrylic help to hold the soft bamboo fibers together and give the yarn a good shape retention.The yarn applies to all types of knitting and crocheting, but especially for baby things, wraps, blankets, and shawls. Soft Bamboo Double consists of 9 x 2 fine threads and runs 115 (126 yds) meters on 50g (1.75 oz) – and we recommend needles 3.0 - 4.0 mm.In other words, if you want to make a slightly ‘lighter’ knit or crocheted project, then we recommend using “fine”. However, if you wish to make a sweater that is good all year round, then we recommend using “double”.You may experience that the strand is more loosely spun in some areas, which is a natural and unique characteristic of this charming yarn.
