The unique Hot Surface (EI) design allows for remote electronic ignition using either the ON/OFF or HI/LO remote control. The innovative flame sensing system features a pilot light and thermocouple that work to monitor the presence of flames and will automatically close the gas valve if the flames are extinguished. The Linear shaped burner is constructed from premium 304 stainless steel; each burner features standard burner ports, a 1/2" female gas inlet, and is neatly machine welded to produce a seamless and durable product. Burners and pans are also backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty from HPC. The innovative Torpedo burner nozzle provides a higher flame akin to a natural wood fire. The burner kit is designed for both natural gas and propane applications, the burner will come assembled to the rectangular flat pan. Also assembled will be the necessary fittings for the sealed control box attached with a flexible gas line; propane units will include a wire mesh spider guard to keep spiders from clogging the gas line. The "ON/OFF" variation of this burner kit will require an external switch, timer, or optional remote (SKU: 578-C) to operate, while a remote control is included for the "HI/LO" variation. The "HI/LO" version of this burner kit is also compatible with the HPC smartphone app for added convenience. HI/LO units offer two flame height selections for user customizability. The "HI" setting offers maximum flame height and power, while the "LO" setting cuts the flame by 40 percent. In addition, the phone app allows on/off, timer, and troubleshooting functionality.
