The Citizen Armor RF1 Level III Rifle Plate has been tested to NIJ 0101.07. This body armor system is rated to defeat multiple rounds of 7.62x51mm Steel Jacket NATO M80, 5.56x45mm M193 and 7.62x39mm Ball ammunition. Weighing only 2.8 lbs., this armor plate sets a new standard for body armor level III protection. It's use of Ultra-high Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) allows for full, multi-hit protection without the weight and risk of ricochet and flying fragments traditionally associated with steel plates.
