Being 100% polyester ropes, they are very low-stretch and very durable. When hauling on a big wall, it can be nice to have low stretch so you don't lose energy when you pull that rope through your micro/pro traxion. Some choose to have a spare dynamic available by hauling with another dynamic rope but that is just a more bouncy ride for the pig. 9mm is lighter and skinnier than 9.5mm (3/8"), but 9.5mm is going to last longer. Don't fall on these ropes. IF they held and didn't snap, you would turn into mashed potatoes. 9 mm: High strength and low elongation in lightweight package.
