Hubblick Respiratory Horse Lick – 10kgThe Respiratory block is one of six Hubblick licks made for horses, a weatherproof lick a horse works at freely in the stable or the field rather than being fed a measured dose. Hubblick describe the range as low in sugar while carrying high levels of salt, phosphorus and magnesium along with vitamins and trace elements. For this block specifically, Hubblick list vitamins A, D3, E and the B-complex alongside calcium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, iodine, selenium and manganese, and state a sugar content of 12%. They publish no full ingredient declaration and no percentage analysis, so nothing beyond those figures is claimed below.Performance & Benefits Weatherproof block that holds together in a paddock as well as a stable. Sugar content of 12%, which Hubblick describe as low sugar for a lick of this type. Fortified with vitamins A, D3, E and the B-complex. Supplies calcium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, iodine, selenium and manganese. Free-access format, so the horse takes what it wants rather than what you weigh out. 10kg, the largest of the three sizes Hubblick make. Suitable For Horses and ponies at grass, or stabled with free access to the block. Yards that would rather buy one large block than replace small ones weekly. Owners wanting a mineral and vitamin lick alongside forage. Also made in 1kg and 5kg, which suit a single horse or a short trial. Not a substitute for a balanced ration — a horse in real work still needs a fortified feed or a balancer. Feeding Place the block in the stable or paddock and allow free access. Ensure fresh, clean water is available at all times. Suitable for both stable and field use. Site it so rain runs off rather than standing on the surface. Watch intake over the first few days; some horses go at a new lick hard before settling. Composition & Analysis Hubblick publish no full ingredient declaration and no percentage analysis for this lick, so none is stated here. What Hubblick do publish: sugar 12%; vitamins A, D3, E and the B-complex; calcium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, iodine, selenium and manganese. Made in 1kg, 5kg and 10kg. This is the 10kg block. Earlier copy on this page gave a detailed herbal ingredient list. Hubblick do not publish it, so it has been removed. Care & Caution Hubblick present this as a mineral and vitamin lick, not a treatment. Coughing, nasal discharge or laboured breathing is a job for a vet. At 12% sugar this is not a sugar-free product. Check with your vet before giving free access to a pony on a strictly restricted diet. Free-access licks can be over-consumed. Remove it and reintroduce gradually if a horse works through it unusually fast.
