Hubert Brochard makes this Sancerre in the eastern Loire, where Sauvignon Blanc takes on the flinty, chalky character of the appellation's famous silex and kimmeridgian soils. It i s a benchmark expression of the grape in its spiritual home, vinified for precision rather than power. Expect a taut, mineral white with citrus zest, white peach and a gooseberry edge, finishing dry and long.
