Hunter Knife This knife is crafted from carbon steel. The style suits preparing the game to be used as food; skinning, gutting or butchering of game animals. Hunting knives are quite adaptable and can be used in a variety of situations and for many different tasks. The blade is both acid etched and stone washed. The timber handle is River Totara. Totara is plentiful on shingly river flats and is prized highly because of the remarkable qualities of its timber. The heartwood is very durable and the Maori's found the wood could be readily split and shaped with primitive stone tools for canoes, building, and carving. This knife does not come with a sheath. However, a custom leather sheath may be purchased separately from our online store.
