Is this Hybrid WFR course for you? The course is in English. On the Hybrid WFR, you’ll complete 30+ hours of online e-learning followed by 5-days (45 hours) of in-person learning. You must register at least 4 weeks before the in-person portion begins and complete all of the e-learning before you arrive. See the technology requirements in the course description. Lodging options Option A - $29 / nightStay onsite in shared bedrooms at Ciel et Bois - a retreat centre with a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your own meals, comfortable bedrooms (bedding included), wifi, wood-burning stoves, and cozy common areas. Most students arrive the evening before their course (check-in anytime after 4pm) and depart on the last course day, after class. However, you’re welcome to stay for free for another night following your course if you’re travelling the next day. Some students also arrive before class on day-1 of the course. Option B - $19 / nightCamp on-site and enjoy access to all indoor facilities. Option C - Stay or live elsewhere in the region Pick-up and drop-off We offer transportation to and from the airport, train station, bus station, or downtown Ottawa for $19 per trip. The latest pick-up time is 5:00 pm on the day before your course begins. Drop-offs are scheduled for the evening of the last day of your course. Alternatively, you can also arrange transportation via Uber or taxi to reach Ciel et Bois. Course site Just 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, Ciel et Bois is on 6 acres of wooded land. The property is surrounded by hundreds of acres of beautiful backcountry and miles and miles of trails where you can hike, run, bike, and cross country ski.
