Some hyaluronic acid is made from poultry, however ours is not, so is a great vegan / cruelty-free alternative, made by producing enzymes from a bacteria-based biofermentation process. So you can have great skin, guilt-free! Hyaluronic acid is produced naturally by your body to retain collagen, increase moisture, and provide elasticity and flexibility. As you age, you have less hyaluronic acid, which is why you can start to see wrinkles and dryness in your skin. However, hyaluronic acid has the ability to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water molecules, so they stay on the surface of your skin, keeping it plump and hydrated. It also slows down the rate at which the water is evaporated, thus preventing TEWL (Trans-epidermal water loss). This improved hydration of your skin will also improve the appearance fine lines and wrinkles. This is what makes hyaluronic acid such a great addition to anti-ageing products. Product Information How to use It is water-soluble, meaning that you can easily add it to any ready-made moisturising or rejuvenating products; just stir in the correct dose and you’re ready to go! It can separate if it is added to oil-based products such as serums but this can sometimes be helped by shaking before use and blending it in thoroughly.
