The Hyde Tools 42081 Maxxgrip Top Slide Utility Knife is a top-of-the-line red metal utility knife with four blade positions and top-slide, push-button blade adjustment. It also includes an overlap nose for blade support. You can change the blade without tools. 1 heavy duty blade is included. Directions • Push button to extend blade, selecting one of 3 possible extensions. • When not in use, fully retract blade. Short blade extensions are hard to see. To Change Blade • Fully retract blade. • Slide lock button forward. • Knife body halves "spring" apart. • Carefully swing knife open. • Insert new blade with upper notch engaged by lug on blade holder. • Magnet helps to hold blade in holder. • Be sure blade holder is in fully retracted position. • Swing knife halves together. Knife must "snap" fully closed before use.
