Dosage & Administration Calves and foals: Give 2 quarts of Hydra-Lyte solution twice daily for the first two days. Continue feeding milk or milk replacer as usual; offer Hydra-Lyte as additional feedings. If milk is refused, feed Hydra-Lyte alone and resume milk at the next feeding. On days 3 and 4, feed 1 quart Hydra-Lyte mixed with 1 quart milk or milk replacer twice daily. Lambs and kids: Feed approximately ¼ of the calf/foal dose. Most animals may return to normal feeding on day 5. If needed, treatment may continue through days 5–7.
