Round clusters of hydrangea, pale blue and soft pink, against a warm yellow ground, and a little swallow tipping down headfirst toward the blooms. It's one of Hokusai's flower-and- bird studies, and the yellow background is what sets it apart, you don't see that often, it makes the whole thing glow. The dark leaves give you some contrast to work against and the petals break into lots of small shapes, so there's plenty to do without it getting fussy. A cheerful pick for a kitchen or a sunroom, and a good one to gift to someone who likes their walls bright. Show more
