This is a compact, deciduous shrub with broadly ovate leaves. From mid-summer to early autumn, it bears deep red mop-head blooms. Best grown in sun or partial shade in a moist yet well drained soil.Features: As a guide this plant can grow to 100cm x 100cm When planting this shrub in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If suitable for containers then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost.
