Flower: Hydrangea Variety: Royal Pride Color: Blue Stem Length: 50–60 cm (20–24 in) Stems per Bunch: 10-stem bunches Royal Pride Hydrangeas Royal Pride is a blue hydrangea, a fresh-cut mophead hydrangea, sold in 10-stem bunches on 50–60 cm stems. Each stem carries a single dome-shaped head roughly 8 inches across that arrives open and ready to use, so one stem fills more space than almost any other cut flower. Hydrangeas are unscented and very thirsty, with a vase life of 5 to 7 days in deep water. Ships FedEx Priority Overnight for next-day delivery. Pick your delivery date on the calendar when you add Royal Pride hydrangeas to your cart. The calendar shows the next available date. Delivery is available Tuesday through Friday. We recommend Tuesday–Thursday, since a Friday arrival leaves no working day to sort out a problem before a weekend event. Schedule delivery so the hydrangeas arrive 1–2 days before your event. Unlike roses they arrive already open; what they need is a full day in deep water to rehydrate after travel. Hydrangeas arrive boxed and unarranged, with no signature required. They are the thirstiest flower you can buy, so plan to have someone there to get them into water the moment they land. Care and Processing Instructions Unbox as soon as they arrive. Hydrangeas will look tired after a night in a box. That's normal and it reverses. Fill a clean bucket with cool water, deep enough to cover at least half the stem. Strip every leaf. Leaves pull water away from the head faster than the stem can replace it. Cut 1–2 inches off each stem at a sharp angle, then split the bottom inch of the stem with your knife to open up the woody base so it can drink. Get the stems into deep water immediately, in a cool spot away from heaters, air conditioning drafts, and direct sunlight. Mist the heads lightly with water. Hydrangeas drink through their petals as well as their stems. If a head wilts: recut the stem and submerge the entire head in a sink or tub of cool water for 30–60 minutes, then stand it back in deep water. Most heads fully recover within the hour. Change the water and recut the stems every 1–2 days. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Every order of Royal Pride hydrangeas is backed by PetalDriven's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If your hydrangeas arrive damaged or in poor condition, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the flowers and your order number, and we'll make it right with a refund or exchange. Hydrangeas very often look limp straight out of the box. Please follow the revival step above before sending photos, since most heads recover completely within an hour of being submerged. Email [email protected] or call 1-888-738-2529. To qualify, hydrate your hydrangeas as soon as they arrive and follow the care instructions above. Claims submitted without photos or after the 48-hour window can't be accepted, and natural variation in color or head size isn't considered damage. See our full refund policy.
