I painted this work after visiting Turin's Villa della Regina on a hot July day that really exemplified an Italian summer. As the sun beat down upon the hilled garden landscape behind the Villa, I couldn't help but notice how elegantly large bushes of blue, pink and white hydrangea were thriving alongside the evocative architectural complex. Unframed size - 45 (H) x 60cm (W) x 5cm (D) / (approx 18 x 24 x 2 inches). Additional information: This original artwork was painted on Stretched Linen Canvas using high-quality Michael Harding oil paints and finished with Gamvar gloss varnish.
