Hydrocotyle leucocephala, Brazilian pennywort, carries roundish bright green leaves on tendril-like stems that trail and climb through the water. It is native to wet and boggy area s of Central and South America, and it works well trailing across the midground or left to float at the surface.This is one of the easiest plants in the hobby and a genuinely good pick for a first planted tank. It settles into almost any water parameters and grows fast without fuss, and it copes with warm water better than most, which makes it a solid choice for planted Discus and community tanks. It does not lean hard on bright light or added CO2.
